Six Mayfield High School juniors selected to GSP

Six Mayfield High School juniors have been selected to participate in the 2026 Governor’s Scholars Program (GSP).   Congratulations to students Ally Creason,  Lourdes Hernandez Say, Jiahou Hou, Marvin Perez, David Scribner, and Sadie Sutla.

Established in 1983,  GSP is a five-week summer residential program for rising seniors in Kentucky. The program’s mission is to enhance Kentucky’s next generation of civic and economic leaders.

Scholars live on a participating college campus where they engage in a threefold curriculum of  Focus Areas, General Studies, and Leadership Seminar. The program is designed to encourage creative thinking, foster leadership, and provide a supportive environment where the state's brightest students can collaborate and innovate.

Students will be placed at Centre College in Danville, Morehead State University, or Murray State University.
